The Taheri Scholarship Society was established in 1945. The society was registered as a public trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act in 1952. The Taheri Scholarship Society caters to the needs of students in higher education keeping in mind the developments in higher education as well as social and scientific aspects of modern society.
